Dimming LEDs
This transformer cannot be dimmed, but you can install an LED dimmer between the transformer and the light source as normal . This transformer does not whine, which means this transformer is silent even with dimmers. Many LED transformers have a slight whine when using an LED dimmer. The whine occurs when the light output is about 80% and it is an annoying sound if you have a sensitive ear. This transformer is quiet.

According to the technical specifications of this LED transformer, it is not intended to be used in so-called no-load mode, i.e. without load.
LED transformer installation
This LED transformer is suitable for 24 V DC LED strips, for example. The power is enough for about 10 meters of COB CC 8.6W LED strip, for example . Regarding safety, there is overheating protection, short circuit protection, overvoltage protection and overload protection . Of these, short circuit and overload protection work on the power cut principle. This means that in a problem situation, the LED transformer starts to cut off the power and it makes the lights flicker. The power cut continues until the fault is removed. Overheating protection and overvoltage protection cut off the power from the 24 volt side –> the lights go out. The lights can be turned on by turning the power back on after the transformer has cooled down and/or the overload has been removed.
The protections also work in a similar way in other high-quality LED transformers. The transformer cools itself with the air that circulates around it, so install it in a place where warm air can mix with the surrounding air. It is therefore not a good idea to place the transformer in a sealed enclosure where the air cannot circulate. A good place in the kitchen is, for example, on top of the upper cabinets.
Sufficient LED transformer power
The maximum power of this LED transformer is a comfortable 100 watts and the operating voltage is 24 volts. When you are thinking about a suitable transformer for an LED installation, it is worth taking a slightly more powerful LED transformer than what the maximum load will be . As you can see from the quantities, typically this powerful LED transformers are used for LED strip installations. You can have LED strips of different powers behind one transformer. For example, you can have this 100W LED transformer and 2 or 3 1x8A wireless receivers and then LED strip groups no. 1, no. 2 and no. 3. This way you can make 3 groups. You don’t necessarily need separate transformers.

Dimensions and connection instructions:
The general safety distance for LED transformers to surrounding materials is 25 mm above and to the sides. When considering where to install the transformer, make sure there is enough space around it. A transformer with this power will heat up if there is a lot of load. Install the transformer in a place where the transformer has room to cool down and where you can access it if necessary. If there is a place for the transformer, for example near a maintenance hatch, then checking it is an easy task.
