High color rendering Ledtek COB LED strip. The light quality is excellent CRI 90+ and it makes the light pleasant. This LED strip is suitable for areas that require a little more light and the light color is very warm 2500K . Choose this LED strip when you want a golden warm light. This is perfect for restaurants and other atmospheric spaces as a companion to dark wood materials. The light output is 1100 lm/meter and this COB LED strip has 420 small LEDs/meter. The light of COB LED strips is uniform.

The quality of light matters

The Color Rendering Index (CRI) is a measure of how well colors appear when using a light source compared to sunlight. The index is measured between 0 and 100. A perfect 100 indicates that colors under the light source appear the same as they would in natural sunlight.
A high CRI value is especially important in photography, retail stores, grocery stores, restaurants, and other spaces where colors need to appear natural and rich. What could be more important than your own home that is properly lit, where you spend a lot of time. A well-lit space is a pleasant place to be.

Testing the CRI value requires a special light tester. We have such a device. The color rendering index (CRI) of this LED strip is over 90, which means that the light quality is excellent . You can see the exact test results below.

Ledtek COB LED strip

COB LED strip provides premium class uniform, dotless lighting without an aluminum profile. COB LED strips provide the same uniform lighting as our high-density SMD LED strips. Compared to normal LED strips, we have 2 meters of installation cable at both ends of the 5-meter roll . This makes installation much easier, as you do not have to start making a connection with the 20 cm connection cable of standard strips. With this COB LED strip, you can make the connection hidden as it should be done. You can dim the COB LED strip in the same way as our SMD LED strips. The surface of the COB LED strip is soft and antistatic . The width of this COB LED strip is 10 mm, the cutting distance is 5 cm and the operating voltage is 24 volts. The protection class is IP20, which means this is intended for dry rooms. You can install this in damp rooms when you protect the LED strip with a covered LED aluminum profile + end caps. Then the moisture load remains outside the aluminum profile and cover. At the cut points there are long copper traces for soldering and connectors. The long copper traces of this COB LED strip are better than the short copper traces of some normal LED strips.

Dimmable LED strip

Ledtek COB LED strips are dimmable . You basically have two options for dimming the LED strip.

1. Dimming is done after the LED transformer
2. Dimming is done before the LED transformer

When dimming is done after the LED transformer, the dimming is done with so-called PWM dimming (Pulse Width Modulation), where the signal is interrupted in a fast sequence. If PWM is done at a low Hertz, the end result is flickering dimming. Flickering can cause headaches, for example. A low 200Hz PWM is found in cheap dimmers. We have high-quality dimmers with a flicker-free PWM of 750Hz.
Another option is to dim with a dimmable LED transformer. For this you need the right kind of light controller (LED dimmer) and a triac or DALI dimmable LED transformer. This means that the dimming signal comes from the front of the transformer. Good dimmers can be found, for example, from ABB and Schneider.

LED strip installation

In addition to the LED strip, you will need an LED transformer and possibly a dimmer. To make installation easier, this LED strip has two meters of cable at both ends of the roll. Standard LED strips only have 20 cm of cable at one end of the roll. You can cut suitable lengths of this LED strip and have long connecting cables ready for both lengths. You do not necessarily need COB connectors or solders. If necessary, choose 10 mm COB connectors.
LED aluminum profiles are usually also required for LED strip installations. This is not necessary with the COB LED strip. This LED strip is an IP20 dry room LED strip. You can install this in damp rooms when you protect the LED strip with a covered LED aluminum profile + end caps. A good profile is, for example, 1708 aluminum , 1708 white , 1708 black , 1616 aluminum , 1616 black , 1616 white or  2310 rectangular .
