Ledtek LED strip for sauna 100°C! The light quality is very good CRI 80+ and it makes the light pleasant. This LED strip has better heat resistance than normal LED strips and is therefore perfectly suitable for installation in Finnish saunas.

This sauna LED strip has a light output of a comfortable 782 lumens/meter and the light color is a pleasant warm white 2700K. The standard roll is 5 meters long and there are 2 meters of installation cable ready at both ends of the five-meter roll. You can cut the 5-meter roll in the middle, for example, and you have two LED strips with ready-made supply cables. Then you connect both strips to the same transformer. Easy job!

The quality of light matters

The Color Rendering Index (CRI) is a measure of how well colors appear when using a light source compared to sunlight. The index is measured between 0 and 100. A perfect 100 indicates that colors under the light source appear the same as they would in natural sunlight.
A high CRI value is especially important in photography, retail stores, grocery stores, restaurants, and other spaces where colors need to appear natural and rich. What could be more important than your own home that is properly lit, where you spend a lot of time. A well-lit space is a pleasant place to be.

Testing the CRI value requires a special light tester. We have such a device. The color rendering index (CRI) of this LED strip is over 80, which means that the light quality is good.

Ledtek sauna LED strip 100°C

Sauna LED strip 100°C provides premium lighting for high temperature environments. The 5-meter roll has 2 meters of installation cable at both ends. You can dim the sauna LED strip in the same way as our traditional SMD LED strips. The surface of the IP65 LED strip is flexible and easy to install . The width of this LED strip is 10 mm (12 mm with silicone tube), the cutting distance is 5 cm and the operating voltage is 24 volts. The protection class is IP65, which means there is good water protection here. The cutting points are clearly marked and they have good copper adhesion for soldering and connectors. The long copper of this LED strip is better than the short adhesion surfaces of some normal LED strips. The LED strip has double-sided tape on the back. You can additionally use silicone LED strip brackets, adhesive compound or LED aluminum profile to attach the strip. The LED strip bag comes with silicone end caps to seal the cut points. Just add silicone glue & an end cap and you will maintain the same protection class at the cut point.

Dimmable sauna LED strip

Ledtek sauna LED strips 100°C are dimmable. You basically have two options for dimming the LED strip.

1. Dimming is done after the LED transformer
2. Dimming is done before the LED transformer

When dimming is done after the LED transformer, the dimming is done with so-called PWM dimming (Pulse Width Modulation), where the signal is interrupted in a fast sequence. If PWM is done at a low Hertz, the end result is flickering dimming. Flickering can cause headaches, for example. A low 200Hz PWM is found in cheap dimmers. We have high-quality dimmers with a flicker-free PWM of 750Hz.
Another option is to dim with a dimmable LED transformer. For this you need the right kind of light controller (LED dimmer) and a triac or DALI dimmable LED transformer. This means that the dimming signal comes from the front of the transformer. Good dimmers can be found, for example, from ABB and Schneider.

What do you need for installation?

In addition to the LED strip, you will need an LED transformer and possibly a dimmer. If you use connectors, choose 10 mm SMD connectors.

Usually, LED aluminum profiles are also needed for LED strip installations, but it is not necessary. You can do indirect lighting without an aluminum profile. This LED strip is IP65 water-resistant and you can install it in damp and wet rooms, such as saunas, bathrooms and spas. You can use LED profiles with this LED strip and a good profile is, for example, the 2310 rectangular profile and it is available in white and aluminum color .

Installation tip

In terms of its width, this strip only fits inside our standard 2310 profile. For example, for 1708 and 1715 profiles, this strip is a few millimeters too wide.
