Thanks to CRI90 LEDs the quality of light is excellent and color of the light is a pleasant natural white 4000K. Quality of light matters

Color Rendering Index (CRI) tells you how well different colors are reflected by the light source in comparison to sunlight. Index measured in range 0–100. Perfect 100 tells that the colors under the light source look the same as they would be under natural sunlight.

High CRI value is important especially at home, in photography, stores, markets, restaurants and other spaces where you want colors to look natural and rich. It is comfortable to spend time in a high-quality-lit spaces. Wellbeing increases. High quality of light is somewhat like a fast Internet connection. When you get used to it you don’t want to switch to worse anymore.

Measuring CRI value requires a special type of light tester. We have such a device. CRI of this LED strip is over 90 which means that the quality of light is excellent.

Dimmable LED panel

Dimming the light works with the included triac-dimmable LED-driver, which is compatible with most of the LED dimmers available in Finland. Compatible dimmers for example in ABB and Schneider selection. You can dim the lights in the range of 10% – 100%. The included LED driver will not make a squeaking or buzzing sound when dimmed and the light will not flicker. Correctly chosen dimmer will not make any kind of sound.

Other compatible dimmers are available for sure. The plastic cover of ABB dimmer fits on the first dimmer in the list.

What do I need for installations?

You will need the lights and a certified electrician. Technical details recommend 160 mm mounting hole. The diameter of the frame is 173 mm so make such a hole that it will be covered by the frame. The height of the hole is only 21.5 mm and on top of that a minimum of 25mm cooling space is recommended.

Safety

The most important part regarding safety is a safe-to-use LED-driver which can be found in this downlight. The driver of this panel light is CE certified and fulfills the required safety standards. The LED-driver has a double L&N connectors which makes installation quick and easy. Electricians appreciate it.

Low-frame

This downlight can fulfill the most demanding requirements as well. The greatest advantage of panel lights is slim design. The light has about the same thickness as ceiling paneling and the height of the driver is 25 mm. The driver is usually placed on the ceiling paneling and it is recommended to leave some cooling space around it.

What if the light breaks down?

The downlight and driver are replaceable. The LEDs inside the downlight cannot be replaced. Well, of course you can, but it is not worthwhile. There is a quick connector between the downlight and the driver, so it is easy to replace either one. Very rarely the downlight itself presents any flaws. Sometimes there has been some kind of flickering and it has been solved by replacing the downlight. If the product does not light up at all, the problem is usually in the driver and switching the driver will fix it. Easy.
