In addition to LED strip you will need an LED-driver and an RGB controller for color adjustment. In order to make installations more convenient there are 2 meters of cable on both ends of the strip. You can cut appropriate lengths from the strip and you have connection cables at the ready. You don’t necessarily need connectors or soldering. In case you need some, pick 10mm RGB connectors.

Usually it is recommended to use aluminum profiles for LED strip installations. You may install this RGB LED strip inside an aluminum profile, but keeping the silicone tube protection in mind it is not absolutely necessary. This strip has a decent amount of protection already. If you want to install inside an aluminum profile however, for example 1715 profile is a good fit for this one.

This is a 10 meters long reel, but technically speaking it has the same features as a 5 meter reel. Which means that due voltage drop the brightness of LEDs starts to dim after 5 meters. You could also make a 7-meter-long installation, but the end part might look slightly more dim than the beginning. You will notice the difference if you bring the end part next to the LEDs at the beginning. In typical installations the difference might be difficult to notice however. By supplying power from both ends of the 10 meter strip you will get full brightness for the whole length.
