The quality of light matters

The Color Rendering Index (CRI) is a measure of how well colors appear when using a light source compared to sunlight. The index is measured on a scale of 0 to 100. A perfect 100 indicates that colors under the light source appear the same as they would under natural sunlight.

A high CRI value is especially important at home, in photography, in stores, grocery stores, restaurants and other spaces where you want colors to look natural and rich. A well-lit space is pleasant to be in. Well-being increases. High light quality is a bit like a fast internet connection. Once you get used to it, you won’t want to change to a worse one.

Dimmable LED panel

The lamp can be dimmed with the included triac dimmable LED transformer, which is compatible with most LED dimmers available in Finland. Suitable dimmers can be found in the ABB or Schneider range, for example. You can dim the lights to 10% – 100% light output. The lamp transformer does not buzz or whine when dimming, and the light does not flicker. A correctly selected dimmer does not make any noise either.

What do I need for installation?

You need the lamps and a certified electrician. The technical data says the installation hole is 157-163 mm. The lamp frame is 170 mm, so make a hole that covers it. The lamp height is only 21 mm and on top of this, 25 mm of cooling space is recommended.

Safety

The most important part in terms of safety is the safe LED transformer and this lamp has it. The LED transformer of this panel light is CE approved and passes the required safety standards. The transformer is small and has a quick connector that makes it easy to attach the transformer to the lamp.

Low

The luminaire meets even the most demanding requirements. The biggest advantage of panel lights is their thin, slim design . The luminaire is approximately the same thickness as the ceiling panel and the transformer height is only 25 mm. The transformer is placed on top of the ceiling panels and it is good to leave some cooling space around it.

What if it breaks?

The lamp and transformer are replaceable. You can’t replace the LEDs inside the lamp. Or of course you can, but it’s not profitable. There is a quick connector between the lamp and the transformer, so it’s easy to replace the other one. Very rarely have there been any faults with the lamp itself. Sometimes there has been some flickering and replacing the lamp helped. If the lamp doesn’t light up at all, the reason is usually the transformer and replacing the transformer helps. Easy job.
